Dave Federici came to Kelowna in 2007 to manage the multi-million dollar award winning “The Waterfront” project in West Kelowna. Prior to moving to Kelowna, he was a custom residential home builder in Vancouver and area, building more than 150 custom luxury homes. Over his long career, David gained thirty years of experience in the residential construction industry as a project manager and site superintendent. David believes the best place to guarantee a project’s success is in the field and all contracts fall directly under his supervision. His qualifications as a red seal master carpenter make him the ideal choice to steer challenging projects clear of difficulties.
BC Licensed Builder Designation
New home construction in the province of British Columbia is a tightly regulated industry. To build homes in this province, the contractor must become a licensed builder. In order to obtain this licence, the contractor approaches a warranty provider, and applies to obtain government mandated insurance coverage to protect consumers.
The contractor must prove financial stability and integrity and display thorough experience in the home building industry. If approved, the builder can then apply to obtain their builder’s licence from The Homeowners Protection Office.
